Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 October 2026. Quantgrounds is an educational strategy-diagnostics tool. This page explains what we collect and why, in plain language.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as an argon2id hash; we never see or store the plaintext.
- Reports you choose to save — when you click Save, we store the report's results, score and verification code. Profile fields you add (username, display name, bio) are stored too.
- Operational data — your IP address and timestamps, kept briefly to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse of the sandbox.
What we do not collect
- Your strategy source code is never stored. Code you paste runs once in an isolated sandbox and is discarded; a saved report keeps only a one-way fingerprint of the code, never the code itself.
- We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we don't sell your data.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep you signed in (a single session cookie).
- To send account email — verification and password-reset messages.
- To show and, when you choose, share the reports you save.
- To operate, secure and debug the service.
Sharing and visibility — your choice, every time
- Private reports are visible only to you (and to an administrator for support or safety).
- Public reports get a shareable link and appear on your public profile if you make your profile public.
- Reports you list in the Talent Pool are visible to vetted reviewer accounts (for example recruiters or hedge-fund managers), along with your email so they can contact you. You control this per report and can turn it off at any time.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of processors to run the service: MongoDB Atlas (database), Resend (transactional email), and our cloud host. They process data only to provide these functions.
Security
Passwords are argon2id-hashed; session and email tokens are random and stored only as hashes; traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we aim for current, practical best practice.
Retention and your choices
- You can delete any saved report at any time from your dashboard.
- To delete your account and associated data, email hello@quantgrounds.com.
Children
Quantgrounds is not directed to children and is intended for users 16 and older.
